Contours of connection.
The Duet series explores the complexities of contemporary relationships—infatuation, separation, and the choice to commit to new love. These sculptures were shaped by the highs and lows of my own relationships, but the themes are universal, reflecting the shared human experience of love and resilience.
Richard Speer writes in From the Heart: Sculpture by Martin Eichinger that the series portrays ‘the progression from erosto agape, the redefining of roles, and ultimately the resilience of the human heart.’
For a fuller perspective, the book delves into these ideas and their emotional underpinnings.
