This concept challenges traditional views of black holes, suggesting that instead of a point of infinite density, the star forms a stable, dense core surrounded by a thin shell of matter.
 
The event horizon of a gravastar represents the boundary where light and matter can no longer escape, similar to a black hole, but with a different internal structure.
