At its fundament, brimstone represents not just any fire, but the fires of molten lava raging at the earth’s core. This volatile element, so often conceived as destructive, can also be imagined more positively. Willfulness, after all, can be conflated with the strength, single-mindedness, and generativity that give women their power.
 
The broken circle symbolizes the balance between creation and destruction, with one side reflecting human ruins and the other ancient, volcanic forces. At its core, a figure stands poised, ready to unleash fiery power with focused resolve.
