Silent Reverie is part of Martin Eichinger's ongoing Dream Series, which focuses on a vision or fantasy conveyed through the feminine form.  In this sculpture a seated woman is portrayed lost in thought; the back of her chair seamlessly blends into a soaring owl to illustrate the depth and nature of her dreams.  Martin uses the owl as a metaphoric statement, giving strength, wisdom and self-awareness to the sculpture.  Paired with the owl, the seated woman seems to draw attributes from the owl-chair in which she sits.
