The Ideoform Series was inspired by ideograms used by many Asian cultures to communicate ideas.  The forms were like brush strokes created in space with certain meanings and emotions attached.  Unlike most of Eichinger’s work, the figures came later as a reaction to the mood of the shapes.  The series seems to be connected to the artist’s interest in the principles of science.
